In addition we are an accredited training facility and train medical students from the Australian National University, Resident Medical Officers from The Canberra Hospital and General Practice Registrars.
Winnunga AHCS continues to assist other Aboriginal Community Controlled health services to achieve best practice standards through accreditation. Winnunga AHCS provides support to services within the region to achieve accreditation. In 2011 Winnunga AHCS provided support to three services who were seeking to achieve accreditation.
In 2013 Winnunga was selected as an AGPAL awards General Practice of the Year finalist.
Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services (WNAHCS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled primary health care service operated by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community of the ACT.
