The Healthy Cooking Group is held weekly at Winnunga, run by the Social Health Team and a dietician (nutrition worker).
We offer a variety of sessions to meet the needs of different people in the community, including cooking on a budget, and cooking for children.
It is important to know how to cook healthy food to help stop the high rate of chronic disease amongst the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population. Poor nutrition is a risk factor that we can assist to overcome with education and support.
